Mark graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1990 and accepted a commission as a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Marine Corps, where he was trained in tactical radio, computer, and networking systems. He served on active duty until May 1994 as a Data Systems Officer, responsible for PC and Network planning, support and training. After leaving active duty, he worked as a Systems Engineer for both IBM and National Technology group before founding SyTec. He serves as a Lieutenant Colonel in the US Marine Corps Reserve, his current duty assignment is with the 4th Marine Logistics Group (FWD) based at Camp Lejeune. He is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, serving as a Company Commander with the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force during 2003. Mark lives in Apex, NC with his wife Elizabeth and their three children.

Sam Estridge, COO, Carolinas IT, graduated from North Carolina State University in 1991 with degrees in accounting and business management. Sam worked as a certified public accountant and attained designations as a certified management accountant, certified internal auditor, and certified financial planner. In 1996 Sam co-founded SyTec Business Solutions, a systems integration company based in Raleigh, NC.  Since 1996 SyTec, now Carolinas IT has become a premier provider of network and information systems design, implementation, and support.  Sam’s healthcare auditing and accounting experience, knowledge of workflow design, and information systems help clients maximize the benefits of sustainable technology and improve profitability.
