State and Local Government
As a verified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SCVOSB), Carolinas IT is able to compete under the Veteran’s First Program through which a percentage of federal procurements are set aside solely for verified SDVOSBs. The purpose of the Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concern Procurement Program is to provide procuring agencies with the authority to set acquisitions aside for exclusive competition among service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns, as well as the authority to make sole source awards to service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns if certain conditions are met.
These federal procurements run several of the federal agencies such as the Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Energy, etc. Federal agencies are required as a matter of public law to set aside a minimum of 3% of their total procurements for SDVOSBs.
Additionally, Carolinas IT is listed on several state and local government contracts. These contracts offer government agencies specialized pricing on equipment. In most cases, Carolinas IT is able to sell and install the equipment, giving you the convenience of having one vendor do it all.
In 2016, Carolinas IT received their North Carolina Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) certification.
