Carolinas IT continues to grow. We welcome the following new hires to our team.
Richie Adams is a Technical Support Specialist for our Managed Services team. He is originally from West Virginia and moved to North Carolina in 2012. Richie has worked in IT for 7 years and has worked at two smaller MSPs. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing video games, and exploring his creative side.
Jim Boening joins CarolinasIT as a Technical Support Specialist who will be working overnight for our Managed Services team. Jim comes to us from NCR where he worked retail IT. Before that, he was with Glaxo Smith Kline where he ran worldwide video conferences often connecting 5 to 10 countries to a conference while ensuring the data was streaming for web broadcasts. Jim also has prior experience working for Capital Broadcasting, where he supported WRAL News, rebuilt the sound system for the Durham Bulls, and restructured the phone system for telethons.
Matt Essig is a Technical Support Specialist for our Managed Services team. He was a Massachusetts native his whole life until he moved to Raleigh this April. Matt previously worked at Clark University for over ten years in Worcester, Massachusetts filling a variety of roles from Help Desk Coordinator, Lab Specialist, and finally Systems Administrator. Outside of work, he enjoys 3D printing and design.
Caleb Pipkin is an intern on our Audit and Compliance team. Caleb will be assisting the team in assuring quality services to our clients, while also furthering his experience in the IT audit field. Caleb has two years of management, Help Desk, and client interfacing experience through UNC’s IT department along with two years of engineering support experience. Caleb is the head coach for the UNC-Chapel Hill weight lifting team and enjoys the sport of Olympic Weight-Lifting.
